The Alpiner 4 Collection integrates the concept of "4" that served as a base in 1938, when Alpina invented the concept of the Swiss Sports watch.

1. Anti-magnetic, 2. Anti-shock, 3. Water-resistant and 4. Stainless
Such had to be a sports watch, in the vision of the Alpina founder Gottlieb Hauser, to be able to tackle the entire vertical Alpine sports environment, from mountain climbing to alpine lake diving. In 2014, Alpina revived the Alpina "4" concept with its new "Alpiner 4" collection, dedicated to the Alpine sports universe.
The Alpina takes on an iconic design with an elegant 2—part antimagnetic case watches from previous 44mm iterations. The watch has current specifications of 44mm, 52.5mm lug-to-lug and 13.15mm thick. Sticking to the classic, the dimensions is reminiscent of past models.
Glacier Blue Dial With Sunray Finishing |
Under the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lies the eye-catching glacier blue dial. The deviation from the usual horizontal pattern, the dial features a sunray texture with a deep blue. A generous fill of green glow in the dark superluminova across the handset and indices makes this an instantly legible in darkness of sea. The 60min steel bezel with the iconic red logo at the 12'oclock marker allows for key sports time measurement functions. A date display at 3 o’clock further seals the deal of a good daily-beater for its wearer. To finish up, the case is fitted with a screw-down crown with the Alpina signature embossed and a knurling finish to allow for easier grip. The lack of a crown guard accentuates the “big crown” appeal, a signature of premium models.
